Structural Preservation Systems Donates $50,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Broward Empowering Families and Building Futures Through the Gift of Homeownership

FORT LAUDERDALE (January 15, 2025) – Habitat for Humanity of Broward has received a generous $50,000 gift from Structural Preservation Systems, a meaningful contribution that will help transform the lives of hardworking families in Broward County. The donation was presented during Structural Group’s Town Hall meeting in December at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott located at 6650 N Andrews Avenue.

This contribution goes beyond financial support, it represents a shared vision of creating safe, stable, and sustainable workforce housing. By partnering with Habitat Broward, Structural Group is investing in the dreams of local families who are working hard to secure a better future for themselves and their children.

Colin Meneely, Senior Branch Director at Structural Preservation Systems, shared, “at STRUCTURAL, our mission is centered on restoring and strengthening buildings, bridges, and all types of infrastructure. It’s only natural that we extend that focus to strengthening our community as well. Partnering with Habitat for Humanity Broward provided the perfect opportunity to give back. Allowing us to channel our contributions of funds and labor to help a hardworking family achieve the dream of homeownership.”

Homeownership program applications open February 15 for new two-story townhomes in Fort Lauderdale and Coral Springs

FORT LAUDERDALE (February 7, 2023) – Habitat for Humanity of Broward’s homeownership program applications to open for new two-story townhomes in Fort Lauderdale and Coral Springs beginning on Wednesday, February 15, via www.habitatbroward.org. The application deadline is Friday, March 31. Qualified prospective homeowners do not want to miss this limited opportunity.

The new energy-efficient, two-story townhomes will include three to four bedrooms, garages, modern kitchens, landscaped yards, and hurricane-impact windows.

These locations are close to city centers, schools, churches, recreational and shopping amenities with easy access to transportation and major traffic corridors.

The application process has four steps that include a pre-qualification questionnaire, orientation, financial analysis review, and face-to-face interview. Successful applicants can expect to move into a home within 12 to 18 months.
Qualifications include but are not limited to the following:

• Must be a first-time homebuyer.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident.
• Must be a current Broward County resident or working in Broward (for a year or more).
• Must demonstrate a need for affordable housing.
• Must be within HUD income guidelines.
• Must be committed to making affordable mortgage payments.
• Must be able to show $3,000 in savings and pay $2,700 in escrow.
